Ongoing Acting Classes

The classes are divided into two levels:

   • Professional

   • Advanced

Entrance into the professional level classes is by audition;
entrance into the advanced class is by
pre-screening interview followed by audit.

All classes are ongoing.
A student may enroll at any time (providing there is space).

An initial audit is required for all classes.
There is no charge to audit.

Each student gets to work each week.
Our classes are limited in size.

All classes use 1/2" VHS videotape.
Students owning a VCR are encouraged to bring their
own tapes so they can re-watch their scenes at home.

Scripts are choosen by the instructor.
Primarily from TV and motion pictures.

Only the instructor and the student himself
critique the student's work.

WE BELIEVE...

...the fun of acting comes from the actors' work.
here, actors are taught to think, to feel, to go at their
limitations with a vengeance, to"gut it out" when the
work is bad, and to know when it is good.

...The actor should be taught different techniques
and approaches toward acting so he can discover what
works best for him.

...Above all, the actor should feel his teacher is on his
side. the teacher should never forget that each student
is an individual, to be treated honestly and with respect.
And the actor should return the favour by having, as
Uta Hagen put it, Respect for Acting.
